CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police operatives seized 1,200 kilos of “botcha” or double-dead meat Monday night in Barangay Muzon in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, police here reported. Police said the confiscated hog meat were later burned and buried.

Superintendent Marcos Rivero, San Jose del Monte police chief, said that a police team was conducting preventive patrol operations when they chanced upon two unidentified men on board a Kawasaki Barako 175 tricycle (4918 RT) loaded with suspected double-dead meat. The police team flagged down the tricycle but its two passengers ran away, prompting the patrol cops to chase them until they entered a compound where they abandoned the tricycle and escaped on foot, Rivero said. The two suspects were later identified as Michael N. Missiona and Evangeline Missiona, both residents of Block 3615, Lot 1f, De Leon Street, Barangay Muzon here.
