14 Newly Hired Personnel are Now Added to NMIS Employees’ Roster

NMIS Executive Director Dr. Minda S. Manantan approved on May 20, 2014 the hiring of the Meat Control Officers (MCO II) and Meat Inspectors (MI III), as follows:

    4. Ms. Marilyn D. Bitong
    5. Mr. Johnnie P. Cabaluna
    6. Mr. Gregg C. Deculawan
    7. Mr. Jeremil B. Gapas
    8. Ms. Janice Marie P. Lapore

The above-mentioned newly hired employees are now undergoing their six months induction training at the NMIS Conference Hall in Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, which includes the one month Basic Meat Inspection Training Course (BMITC). The training started last June 16, 2014 and will end on December 16, 2014.

In a related development, NMIS received on June 16 the approved Notice of Organization, Staffing & Compensation Action (NOSCA) officially authorizing the filling-up of vacancies including newly created position under Executive Order 366 (Rationalization Plan).

NMIS was strengthened with the creation of six (6) Divisions. However, there was a reduction in the total manpower complement from 395 to 362 which was necessary to compensate for the upgrading of positions.
