NMIS Sends its Eleven Officials to KOREA on a Training

Eleven officials of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) left for Korea to participate in the “Training Course on Animal Products Quality Evaluation Technology Development with Traceability System in the Philippines” to be held at Sejong-si, South Korea from May 15 to 28, 2016.

This training program is sponsored by the Korea Institute for Animal Products Quality Evaluation (KAPE). The participants are expected to understand the various activities and policies on livestock products; to provide benchmarking opportunities for the development of livestock industry (beef, pork, chicken, duck, eggs, etc.); and to understand Korean quality and safety food control system in the production and distribution of livestock such as traceability system.

Upon their return, the team is expected to establish and operationalize the Philippine’s traceability system.
