DAP conducted Auditing Training Course for NMIS auditors

The National Meat Inspection Service- Office of the Director for Special Concerns (NMIS-ODSC) coordinated with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in upskilling and training of auditors on auditing Quality Management System, June 17-21, 2019 at NMIS Training Room A.

Dr. Marvin Vicente, NMIS Acting Director II and Quality Management Representative opened the five-day workshop by expressing her utmost gratitude to the attendees and facilitators and speaker from DAP and also discussing the overview and purpose of the training.

The participants who were auditors from Central Office and RTOCs then were given a chance to write their expectations to the speaker, co-participants and seminar itself before taking a pre-examination to assess their knowledge.

Over the course of the training, the participants learned seven modules, namely: Audit Principles, Understanding the Requirements, Initiating the Audit, Audit Preparation, Audit Execution, Audit Reporting and Audit Follow-up which was discussed Mr. Antonio P. Santos, DAP Resource Speaker who was assisted by Ms. Mylene Soriao, DAP Project Manager and Mr. Ryan Vincent Lim, Project Staff.

NMIS Executive Director Dr. Ernesto S. Gonzales concluded the training with a message wherein he highlighted that in order for the Quality Management System to be successful, auditors should correct their working attitude. They should work as a team, work as a family and share the same mission and vision.
