Accreditation and Registration

  • Accredits slaughterhouses, poultry dressing plants, meat processing plants, meat cutting plants, meat transport vehicles and equipment fabricators;
  • Evaluates cold storages;
  • Accredits Meat and Meat Product Importers / Exporters, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, meat handlers and meat brokers; and
  • Registration of locally manufactured and imported meat products

Engineering Section

  • Prepares engineering plans and designs, cost estimate, program of works and others.
  • Provides technical assistance such as, but not limited to site evaluation, preparation of ME modules, meat establishment layouts, equipment specifications and others
  • Manages the day-to-day operations and implementation of the Meat Establishment Improvement Program (MEIP)
