NMIS SENDS ITS ELEVEN OFFICIAL TO KOREA ON A TRAINING

 

Eleven officials of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) left for Korea to participate in the “Training Course on Animal Products Quality Evaluation Technology Development with Traceability System in the Philippines” to be held at Sejong-si, South Korea from May 15 to 28, 2016.

NMIS TRAINS FACT-FINDERS AND INVESTIGATORS/ADJUGATORS

 

The National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) conducted a training course on fact– finding and investigation/adjudication procedures for Regulatory Enforcers (Meat Inspectors and Meat Control Officers) at the Training Room A, 3rd Floor, NMIS MITDC Bldg., No. 4 Visayas Avenue, Barangay Vasra, Quezon City from April 25 to 29, 2016.

DOG MEAT IDENTIFYING MACHINE CONVICTS DOG TRADER

 

Makati City. 05/05/2016 --- The result of laboratory analysis using a machine that reads minute traces of DNA has been used as evidence in a court of law in Tuguegarao City last June of 2015. The machine was purchased through the Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), the main animal welfare NGO partner of the NMIS, The case was a result of a surveillance operation where an alleged cooked dog meat was being sold in a store in the area.
