Senior Meat Control Officer – [SrMCO]

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee that the slaughterhouse animals are properly maintained and provided with water and feeds prior to slaughter; perform ante and post mortem inspection; retain suspect animals for further examination, condemn carcass, meat and other by –product and to see to it that these are safely stored either for denaturing or by product rendering; call the attention of the Supervising Meat Control Officer in cases where he observes the factors which adversely affect the cleanliness of meat edible offal, hygiene of production, efficiency of meat inspection and adequacy of meat preservation; inspect meat and meat market and butcher shops and prepare and maintain appropriate reports; and perform other related duties/work as may be assigned from time to time.
