As part of the National Meat Inspection Service’s (NMIS) commitment to promote proper and good housekeeping practices in the building and to foster fire safety awareness among its employees, OIC-Executive Director Dr. Jocelyn A. Salvador signed a manifesto as part of its support to the Bureau of Fire Protection's (BFP) call-to-action against destructive fire campaign and achieve a fire-safe workplace.

The activity was held on May 12, 2022 at the Office of the Executive Director (OED). Present during the signing of manifesto were the fire officers of the Project 6 Fire Sub-Station headed by their Engine Commander, Fire Inspector Rodrigo A. Delos Santos, NMIS OIC-Chief Administrative Officer, Engr. Erwin A. Ruiz, and NMIS designated Fire Safe Marshal, Mr. Marvin Doles.

Last April 26, 2022, a half-day fire safety seminar and a fire simulation drill were conducted at the NMIS SHE Hall and grounds. All NMIS employees in the Central Office and Regional Technical Operations Centers NCR and IV-B attended.
