NMIS Receives ISO PNS 9001:2015 Certification and CSC Bronze Award
The National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) has officially received its ISO PNS 9001:2015 Certification, reaffirming its strong commitment to quality service and organizational excellence. This recognition follows NMIS’s successful Stage 2 Recertification Audit Surveillance held from August 27 to September 1, 2025, where the agency met all international quality management standards. The certificate was formally awarded by W3 Solutionz Training & Assessment Center through Ms. Princess G. Ramos, underscoring NMIS’s dedication to continuous improvement in meat inspection and food safety. Government Partners Recognized for Their Invaluable Support to Meat Safety and Quality Assurance Programs
One of the highlights of the opening ceremony of the 32nd Meat Safety Consciousness Week (MSCW) and the 53rd NMIS Anniversary was the recognition of government partners who have played a vital role in advancing meat safety, quality assurance, and consumer protection. NMIS Officer-in-Charge, Executive Director Dr. Roberto S. Umali, and Officer-in-Charge, Deputy Executive Director Dr. Ronnie Ernst A. Duque, led the awarding of plaques of appreciation to partner agencies in grateful acknowledgment of their support and contribution to the agency’s programs and advocacies.


NMIS Opens 32nd Meat Safety Consciousness Week and Celebrates 53rd Founding Anniversary
The National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) officially opened the 32nd Meat Safety Consciousness Week (MSCW) and celebrated its 53rd Founding Anniversary on October 13, 2025, at the NMIS SHE Hall, MITDC Building, Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Department of Agriculture (DA), government partners, meat industry and stakeholders, former Executive Directors, NMIS employees, and Undersecretary for Livestock Dr. Constante J. Palabrica, who served as the keynote speaker.


NMIS Recognized for Achieving Maturity Level II Under the Enhanced PRIME-HRM
The National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) was recognized for achieving Maturity Level II under the Enhanced PRIME-HRM program. The award was formally presented by Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director Claudia Abalos-Tan of the CSC Field Office-Department of Agriculture (DA) during the flag-raising ceremony on May 19, 2025, at the NMIS SHE Hall, MITDC Building, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City
