Basic Meat Inspection Course for Newly Hired Meat Inspection Officers

This 20-day live-in training course is designed to equip MIOs with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold meat inspection standards across the country, ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of meat and meat products. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training, preparing MIOs to perform critical inspection duties that safeguard public health and consumer safety in the meat industry. The training is facilitated through the collaboration of the Meat Standard Development and Consumer Protection Division (MSDCPD) and the Human Resource Development Unit (HRD).
