Anti-Red Tape Authority On-Site Inspection
On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Ms. Angelou H. Padilla and Mr. Jan Gil P. Laude of Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) undertook an on-site inspection at the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) Central Office, targeting the Divisions of Accreditation and Registration, Central Meat Laboratory, and the Public Assistance Desk to ensure the compliance of RA No. 11032, known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
Leading the inspection were Dr. Roberto S. Umali, Deputy Executive Director, and Mr. Lamberto B. dela Cruz, Jr., Chief Administrative Officer, along with Dr. Venus G. Garcia, Officer-in-Charge of the Accreditation and Registration Division, and Ms. Christine Mae A. Mundoc from the Central Meat Laboratory Division and assisted by Engr. Karren D. Cruz-Mercado, Ms. Angelica C. Gonzales, CART Secretariat and Mr. Fortunato G. Quijano from the Public Assistance Desk (Consumer Protection). Following the inspection, it was determined that the NMIS demonstrated minimal areas for improvement. This visit aimed to ensure that NMIS is adhering to regulatory requirements, operating efficiently, and providing effective services to the public.
