NMIS Strengthens Collaboration with UBRA to Advance Meat Inspection and Food Safety

On January 22, 2025, Dr. Roberto S. Umali, OIC - Executive Director, and Dr. Ronnie Ernst A. Duque, OIC - Deputy Executive Director of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) engaged in a courtesy meeting with the United Broiler Raisers’ Association (UBRA).

This initiative is part of the NMIS's efforts to maintain proactive coordination and collaboration between the agency and stakeholders in meat inspection and food safety. The discussion centered on addressing key issues faced by broiler raisers, regarding accreditation and registration, enforcement, and dissemination of weekly inventory reports. The NMIS remains committed to its mission of providing modernized meat inspection service to protect the consuming public while supporting the livestock and poultry sector with government and industry partners to ensure an adequate supply of safe meat for all.
